Pausing to Ponder……
The more eagle eyed 3six5NG-ers may have noticed a countdown widget in the side bar for a significant proportion of July, counting down to the 31st, or heard via twitter that we were planning on taking a breather. It’s true, as those who regularly check back for updated content may have already found out.
It is amazing how from one single tweet back in January, we’ve ended up here — with 155 snapshots of life from across the globe. Most of the credit for that has to go to EVERYONE of you who made a commitment to share a day (or more) in their lives and delivered on that; across timezones, work pressures and all the various little things that life is adept that throwing in our faces.
Behind the project has been a monumental amount of effort — to stay in touch with contributors, go through multiple edits in some cases and somehow find the time to live a normal life in between. Special thanks to @kiahs_, @funkolaani and @tonianni who filled in editorial duties often at short notice.
Going forward, the plan is to take a much needed break for the rest of the year while we plan towards a January 2014 relaunch. In the interim, we encourage you to return and re-read all the wonder snapshots of life we have all shared…
It has been an immensely satisfying journey in 2013. Thanks for having us along for the ride…
