May 26, 2013 — Ajischolo

6:00am: I’m silently thankful I swept my sitting room last night. I run straight away to do the Sunday routine of getting the car cleaned up…top up tires.

7:00am: “I’ve still got thirty minutes to speed down to church”, I say to myself as I contemplate a hot or cold bath, as well as whether to grab some breakfast before leaving or not.

7:35am: #Thick black clouds hovering overhead, lightning bolts and thunder claps#. I just might wait a little and make me a hot cup of milk with my all-time favourite Ghanaian sugar bread…

7:35am: Feeling like a million bucks I hit the road; church bound, whistling a happy tune through the heavy rains…Yeah you guessed right. 100km/h!!

8:09am: There. A little late, but glad I’m here. The words of the Sunday School teacher get drowned once in a while due to the noise of the rains outside…the beginning of a journey I’d like to share with you…

The worship session is so lovely…I can feel the weight of a golden halo on my head already. It’s simple, yet genuine.

It’s the Women’s Day celebration, and there are so many colors, styles, designs and shapes…and yeah, that’s where the three pronged fork plucked my halo ;)

Looking around me I see so many people just like me, happy smiling faces with laden hearts; with so many thoughts of what would, should and needs to be done, yet all dancing and smiling. It’s scary to think God sees all these masks on different faces every Sunday…Mine’s multi–coloured and has got some nice ribbons too!! God help us.

Help me.

*sigh*

11:53am: I’ve got volumes to read for my upcoming CCNA…

11:54am: Dreading the workout tomorrow as I still hurt from Friday…

11:57am: Do I take her to the movies tomorrow?

12:10pm: I really need to call up my lovely sisters and see how they’re doing… My mind strays to Warri, where I see the mountain of Eba and Ogbono soup befitting of this cold rainy day…

“May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ…”

2:00pm: Cold spaghetti and a hard-boiled egg….

2:45pm: Out cold.

4:57pm: Still out cold.

6:00pm: JUMPING JUPITER!!! It’s my day on the3six5NG!!!!!!!! :O
