I just cannot believe my vacation is over. I will not lie, I am a lazy person. The vacation was important to my psyche. I was already losing my mind and now it’s over. I woke up this morning in the foulest of moods. I had a pounding headache and all I wanted to do was just sleep the world (and my life) away. It was that kind of morning.
Unfortunately, it is Saturday, and no such thing is possible in this house. Like clockwork, my mom was already yelling my name. This morning she needed a ride to the bank. And just like that my day had already begun. After a few minor mishaps, I knew I wasn’t going to get any more sleep this morning. By 9AM, I was still in a foul mood, no appetite and my headache was getting worse. I was contemplating taking out my braids, my locs needed air and I was kind of tired of the braids. Then my sister called. She needed my brother to come and get her and her son around 10.30AM. It turns out she was getting driving lessons from my brother so they needed my car. I had to admit, the idea of seeing my nephew after a while cheered me up a little bit so I decided to go with my brother to go and get them.
12 Noon — driving lessons were over and we were back home playing video games and cooking. My mood was much better. My nephew’s presence here actually helped my mood. I mean, who can stay moody when the little terror is around?
It’s a typical Saturday at home. It’s 3PM and I am rounding up this snooze-fest.
