It’s Freezing, It’s Easter. Halleluyah.

If you think say to sleep with empty belle, bad, try wake up first. The thing go hit you like say, trailer jam you…but na fast I dey fast.

On the bus to the clinic, I sat beside a lady who rescued me from having my leg mangled by a baby buggy because I had been so engrossed in the book I was reading.

For the book, them dey describe how one animal just start to dey chop pesin hand. The man be zoo-keeper wey dey pet the animal first o, next ting, the animal dey chop am.

Blood. Ghastly.

The Tiger’s Wife, I replied when she asked what I was reading with a smile. Then we had a conversation, rare. ‘Reading is great’ She sighed. She would have been in her 40s. I wonder what might have happened…I hope I never stop reading.

The phlebotomist couldn’t find any blood in my right arm, panic tried to set in. ‘Don’t worry’ She said, ‘we’ll try the left’. I closed my eyes. Blood. Anxiety. Blood. Needle. I opened my eyes, and there were about 5 vials filled. I immediately felt faint.

e be like say, she just draw all the blood comot from my bodi and dis hunger no dey help pesin.

On the bus to work, she walks in, glasses. I always notice people who wear glasses. Tall, freezing, dark coat, with a big tiger brooch on the right. Wow. I thought. I certainly will not stop reading for whatever reason.

As I chop the mushroom, egg, potato join. I come dey feel bam. I balance for my big computer belleful and begin listen to music wey dey my head since morin.

Then it hit me.

Avalon.

Abundantly.

Blood.

Life, Jesus.
