Lazy Sunday…
I love how my Sunday went…
It started with me snuggled in the arms of the man who loves me and to the voice of my little man saying, ‘Mama milk… Breakfast’. As much as I’d love to linger in bed and see where the cuddles will take me, my Sunday is a working day.
I’m seriously exhausted, every day for the past week started early and ended late. I could have done with a lie in, but it won’t happen today.
The morning was followed by a wonderful time at church, the ever patient members of my church enduring my squawks as I led them in worship… then an empowering and challenging message about forgiveness and salvation.
I could have made a bee-line for the door and darted home, but there was choir practice. Lunch was provided and as my belly filled up my eyes began to droop and my voice decided a nap was what I needed.
As master and Mr Luffa run into the house for shelter from the rain, wet clothes tossed aside and snacks consumed… We congregate on our sofa and as though on cue… Our heavy eyes close…
As I lie here on my sofa, tired and too exhausted to make dinner, I think of the other things I could have done this evening, like attend a St Patrick’s Day parade, go shopping or watching a movie at the cinema… I can’t help but feel that I made the right choice to rest my tired brain, and my weary body with two of my favorite men in the world.
I know it will ease the daily guilt I feel for not being more available to them — I’ve tried the house wife thing and it hasn’t worked for me, but being a mum and a wife are my life’s joy.

MsLuffa is still trying to find that one thing that defines her. She’s wife to the most amazing man in the world and mum to an exceptional child… She (used to) blog on www.msluffa.wordpress.com and is actually more interesting than this post suggests.
