Sundays are usually very boring. You get up. You go to church. You come back home. Take a nap. Wake up. Have dinner. Get ready for Monday. Go back to sleep. (Are you still awake?)

Luckily for you, today was a bit different. After church, I had a meeting with the president of the UNILAG Finance Club. I will be partnering with them on some Human Relations issues. I will be training them on acquiring job skills, preparing them for the work force. Working in HR in this country can be such a headache. I am forced to deal with applicants who can barely spell their own name talk less of submitting a readable CV. And then they hound you afterwards wondering why they were not hired. It gladdens my heart to have soon to be applicants working towards really being fit to be hired. Looking forward to my work (please GOD!) getting easier when these kids enter the workforce. Yay! Yes, I tend to refer to people I help hire as my kids. They kind of are, in truth. I do have to take care of them while they work for my company.

Back to my day. I got home and watched Revenge. Love that show. I’m currently halfway through season 2. Victoria and Emily are two diabolical women. The things they get up to!

Later, I gave my niece vocal lessons. She is planning to audition for Project Fame. Oh did I mention that I sing? I gave a concert at Muson Centre last year. Occupy Nigeria almost ruined it, but thankfully it was moved by a few weeks till it was all over. It went well and I guess it qualifies me to teach my niece. Our session went well. I think she has a good shot of getting in. You people had better root for her o!

Ok, my day is done. Now I’m writing this. Will turn it in. Then go to bed. Have a great week everyone!
