I have no idea what to write. Seriously, not one.
The plan was that I would write something intelligent, inspirational, funny, reflective and witty all at the same time. I mean, I have had weeks to think up something interesting. I had even gone through previous 3six5ng posts to garner “inspiration”. I had read posts of someone jogging on Spalding Drive, another with his wife in Ibadan, someone complaining about teaching/leading *sigh* and someone else in the Philippines (Has anyone else ever heard “Tagalog” before? I mean, I went like WTH is that, sounds like something from Lord of The Rings, please pardon my ignorance :)). Then there was the chef in Canada.
I had even planned to be in Dakar when I was writing this post so I could legitimately say I was writing this while “sipping a Mojito, overlooking “lush” Dakar beaches and thinking about how good God has been to me”, (I am actually laughing out loud at this). Instead, something came up, I rescheduled my trip to Dakar and here I am in Lagos trying to decide between taking a danfo to Ojuelegba or BRT to Barracks.
I had even made a mental note to not mention Alarm clocks in my post or “Lover of God” in my bio. I had rehearsed my opening line several times (I am a child of Grace) and even arrived at a closing line (I know where I am coming from, where I am now and where I am headed). Okay, sounds lame when typed but it was perfectly fine in my head :) . I was even sure 365 words would not have been enough, I had planned to insert “365 words is simply not enough” somewhere in there. I mean I was supposed to sound… Profound, Thankful and Deep. *sigh*.
310 words? Not bad. Now I need to select a picture, (scrolling through my photos): me at work — No; some historical monument — Nah; with friends at a wedding — No; my backside, Definitely Not! (I can’t even explain how that picture came to be); Ice cream — hmmmn; Food — Yea!
Okay, datzall
