Ole Ole Ole Ole!
Ole Ole Ole Ole!
Feeling hot hot hot!
Finally after months of cold and desolation, and wearing winter coats in May, London is blocked out for over a week or two of solid, tropical sunshine. In true British fashion, over-night the city has gone naked. The arms, chests and legs are out. Those you want to see and those you DO NOT WANT TO SEE!! For example I went to a local market today to gather some bargains (double dip recession y’all) and I saw a huge guy with a tummy so huge, covered in hair — he wore shorts; Very short shorts! Eeeek!!
Another beautiful British sunshine tradition is the great BBQ. You could walk into a big supermarket right now, and the aisle with beer, ice, meat, bread buns and charcoal will all be empty. For real. There is no point telling us to chill. We really are not assured of our weather on this island so right now everyone and their dog is outside!
So what else is happening? My Mum is travelling to Nigeria and is stressing out over her packing. In true travelling fashion, the second suitcase is full of stuff for other relatives, so our dining room looks ‘occupied’ and ‘utilised’. That’s why I went to the market with my little brother, my best friend and her baby, to give my Mum some space. Also I had to go wardrobe shopping as I suddenly realised my wardrobe was too inclined towards blacks and browns. Hopefully with interviews and dates on the horizon I can ‘work it out’! ;)
My friend’s baby and little diva just took her first steps when we got back from the market; both parents were upstairs! My friend wants to beat me and cry at the same time. Plus baby hasn’t done it again since. Her granddad said in Ghana if you boil an egg for the baby, the walking will resume so off we go to the kitchen! Hahahahahaha!
Wish me luck, I’m doing the 5K Race for Life to raise money for Cancer Research next Sunday and it’s been a while since I did this kind of thing!
Ghen Ghen!
