I was chilling on this website and saw a few dates missing, so I sent off an email asking if I could write again and the good person on the other end of the email said yes. I was ecstatic! A few hours later I was like; Timiebi why did you do that? How do you know your day will be interesting or worth writing about?
Guess what?? It was!! In your face Timi (Yes I talk to myself )
So what have I been up to since the last time I was on here? hmmm let’s see; I had a surgery, took a mini break from social networks (Facebook, Instagram, Keek, Path.. nna the list is plenty), oh and I lost my phone yesterday afternoon!!!
All I could think of was the hard-work, money and sometimes intense frustration that went into my CANDY CRUSH game :( All my photos (4000+), voice-notes, the list is endless… The fact that I have called my network provider and had the said phone blacklisted, blocked (all the “b”s you can think of) doesn’t seem to appease me. A quick check of my “cloud” slightly comforts me.
We’ve been fasting in church (from the beginning of this month) and all I can say is that the Lord has been awesome, learning to trust and seek God being the theme of the fast (Matthew 6:3) I led the church in praise and worship today and it was awesome!! Majestic are His works, wonderful is His name, Awesome are His ways.
We had an outreach picnic in Montrose park, Burnt Oak and it was fun! Serving people is not as easy as I thought it would be, having to explain why they could only get Jollof rice and wait another 10 minutes for the BBQ chicken! Five hours on my feet but I strangely loved every bit of it. Managed to eat a piece of chicken and fried yam :) My regret was not getting my face painted and going crazy on the bouncy castle :(
One thing I took away from being around people today is that “You can take the person out of Nigeria but you cannot take Nigeria out of them” :)
