5, NO! 6, wait I think it’s 7. Actually it doesn’t matter. I still cannot swim. I have been to more than 7 organized swimming lessons and many dollars and pounds later, I can’t float to save my life.
Why then will I let myself be talked into a boat ride on unknown waters over the Easter holiday? It was fearless, exciting and fun but I was scared through it all. Right in the middle of the waters, when I was few seconds from screaming, he told me to look into his eyes and forget about my fear of water and just focus on knowing that he would not let anything happen to me. I did and at that moment, I felt a wave of calm and the assuring feeling that nothing was ever going to happen to me.
Then it hit me, that is exactly how God wants us to trust Him with everything. In times of darkness, we just have to trust that God knows what He’s doing because whether things are going good or bad, He is still God.
Present day, I look around my desk, staring at the recent ad “Indecent exposure is forgiven” Kwirkly team churned out for me; I think about how to tackle the biggest problem most small business owners’ face; the issue of brand awareness, increase in customers and sales, I realize I have to look into God’s eyes and just trust Him that He knows what He is doing with my business. I know I could always use more customers, and maybe a new album from John Legend. Dear John, May seems so far away.
